Banana Halwa

This is a simple quick  dessert , I make at home to surprise my family.They love it.

Ingredients:

1 cup Rava

1 cup Milk

 1 cup Sugar

1/2 cup ghee

1/2 cup water

10-15 cashewnuts

a few drops food colour

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1 cup  chopped Banana pieces

Preparation:

Mix the milk and water.Add Sugar and stir till the sugar dissolves.Add the chopped banana pieces.Leave aside for about fifteen minutes for the banana to soak in the milk.

Meanwhile,roast the rava in ghee till light golden in colour .Keep aside.

Fry cashewnuts and keep aside.

Method:

Place the milk banana mixture on the stove and allow to cook slowly on low flame.Mash coarsly.



Mix in the roast rava,the cardomom powder and the food colour.  Pour in the ghee.Stir constantly all the while mashing the banana with the ladle.



When the mixture curls leaving the sides of the vessel .Switch off the stove.Add the fried cashew nuts.
