A has been very eager to learn to make dosas the way J and I make. J was the one who taught me to make Dosas crispy and paper thin, so now he has taken A under his wing .The first step is to make an intact dosa.A managed that! His first intact dosa

M has been having a hard time learning Arabic.Big B jumped in to help lil B and patiently repeated word after word , correcting mispronunciations without   a tinge of irritation .Within an hour or so M learnt to recite the Arabic poem he was supposed to learn.  Mumma is very proud of both her boys! 09eccd3c0d8211e2a73722000a1c8929_7

  2. You have some nice plants and greenery around you. I was so upset to find that our neighbor cut down two very big bushes last weekend. I don't know why people keep doing that. This country needs more green!

I love dosa and so does my husband. He's not so keen on Indian food like I am. But he lived in India and Pakistan in the 70's so does like some things. He much prefers to watch Indian movies on Thursday afternoons and speaks Urdu so understands what is going on. I'd rather eat Indian food. :)

My kids don't like Arabic or religion classes at all. Yusef went to Indian Public School when he was in first grade and had to take Hindi so I sent him to a tutor. He actually got very good grades -- but those 6 weeks were very hard! I switched him to an American school that September.

    Best wishes to you, Tammy
