As sweet as Honey

As sweet as honey
Hello Lovely People,
Its been two weeks since I updated this space with a proper post. A little family emergency happened. My Mil, had suddenly taken ill and had to be
admitted in the ICU.The doctors were not very sure if she would make it through. J came down from Kuwait,it was a stressful time.
Its often critical situations like these, that serve as an eyeopener;the masks gently slip and offer a peek into the colors that truly lie beneath.
Although you know in the back of your mind all along, it always is kind of hard when the cards are laid bare. The emotions tumble down one after the
other and tear you apart.
Too many lessons in a year for us ,I guess! Not easy ,but still life goes on...
Thankfully now, she is out of danger and recovering quite well.

In other news, the brother and Sil announced that their baby no 2 is also going to be a boy. After having three boys in the family, we were waiting with
baited breath for them to announce ,they were going to have a baby girl. Surely there had to be some pink ,lace and frills to balance out the perpetually
torn at the knees blue, black and brown jeans ,no?
When they did, all that the Silly aunt could think of was, what was she going to do with the lilac blanket that she was almost done knitting , anticipating
a little girl.

The Brother and Sil, being the good sports that they are, happily asked her to send it anyway! “We’ll get away with it as long as we can, the baby was not
going to know what color blanket he was wrapped in" they joked. But have promised to point in her direction ,should he decide to sue them for therapy.
True to style, the grandparents can’t really understand the fuss about the colors.
In all honesty, small town that I am , did not know of the gender colors until I had Lil B and happily dressed Big B in colors that I liked. My brother and
I wore all the colors of the rainbow too, when we were younger. Then the brother moved to the US of A, and started wearing grey and such boring colors

Anyways, the boys are super excited, there is going to be one more boy in the family. They high- fived and declared, they have one more hand to gang up
against me! Ha! Really?!! Why?!!

  1. Glad to hear that your MIL is out of danger. The blanket is very pretty. Of course the baby is not going to know which color blanket he was wrapped up in unless he gets hold of a photographic evidence at a later stage, then he will definitely sue you.

  3. I hope your MIL continues to be well. In trying times, we certainly learn a lot, about ourselves and other people. The blanket is lovely and is there to keep the baby warm and comfortable so it really doesn't matter the color. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
